Around 1,18,000 candidates will appear in the HSC examination at 196 centers in Rangpur division under Dinajpur Board this year.
Deputy Controller of Examinations of Dinajpur Education Board Md Harun-Ar-Rashid Mandal told that "We have completed preparations for holding the examinations in a completely copy-free and peaceful atmosphere this year,"
He said 61, 803 male and 57, 138 female candidates, from 645 colleges and other educational institutions will appear in the HSC examinations in all 58 upazilas of eight districts under the board this year.
Md Harun-Ar-Rashid Mandal added that "The number of HSC examines has been increased by 12,169 candidates this year under the education board than the last year,".
Officials at Dinajpur Education Board said 26,824 candidates will take part in the HSC examinations from Science Group, 75,541 candidates from Humanities Group and 16,576 candidates from the Business Studies Group this year under the education board.
A total of 90,556 students will sit for the HSC examinations as regular candidates, 994 for improving GPA, 27,358 as irregular candidates and 33 students as private candidates this time under the board this year.
Harun-Ar-Rashid Mandal said adequate number of vigilance teams, comprising of the college teachers as well as officials of the Education Board and retired teachers, has been formed to properly monitor the examinations.
